Portugal / 28 MAY - 04 JUNE / 2019
A Yoga Retreat Designed by Yogipreneur's, for Yogipreneur's.
master the work life balance.
During this week you'll have the opportunity to develop your yoga practice, pay some much needed attention to your own wellbeing and also explore how you can start to build a business in this sector. Perhaps you're a newly qualified yoga teacher, have a desire to retrain in the wellness industry, or want to quit the daily grind to become a digital nomad. If you're already a creative, this will be a perfect opportunity to spend a week with like-minded people, taking the co-work office into nature, and combine a looming deadline with some self-care. Both Jake and Amy are living this lifestyle, working as travelling yoga teachers and designers, and will be on hand during this week to offer advice and guidance.
Live off the land.
If you love nature, healthy & organically grown food and are looking for peace and tranquility, we've found the right place. Situated on the breathtaking Atlantic coast of Portugal, near the charming fishing village of Zambujiera del Mar, Cocoon is the perfect place to dedicate time to you, and creating the lifestyle you want for yourself.
relax in style.
Cocoon Portugal is a 275 acre coastal farm + retreat, offering inspiration + community for the modern traveller. It's also pure magic, where between the oversized hammocks and the freshwater lake, you'll start to lose track of time. The kind of place where each morning is a celebration, practicing under the canopy of old growth pines, but so is each evening, with world class wine and fascinating dinner conversation.
Jake Paul White is a yoga teacher, designer and photographer who is dedicated to helping people share their passion with the world. Jake's goal is to help people realise their full potential. Whether it be in a personal practice like yoga or out in the world with business, he hopes to help you refine your skillsets and transform your passion into your purpose.
Amy became a Graphic Designer shortly after discovering yoga 8 years ago. She attributes this discovery with giving her the faith in herself to achieve something she had always wanted to do, but had been to afraid to try. Amy has built her career around wellbeing, and believes doing something she loves has meant she can combine her passion with success in this sector as a teacher and designer. In 2016 she also started the business Akasha Yoga, organising yoga retreats showing how we can bring yoga into our everyday life.
MORNING ENERGISING WITH JAKE PAUL WHITE
A yummy, sweaty, feel good full body sequence to get you energised, focused and poised for an awesome day. Physically. Mentally. Even emotionally or spiritually. This practice will help you tune in to your mindful side and set intentions with awareness and breath. Perfect for all levels as it focuses on alignment and action as well as encourages you to work at your own pace. Find What Feels Good and make it your own. A refreshing practice for everyone who loves to start gently, develop thoughtful alignment and transitions and build to their edge while balancing effort and ease.
EVENING RESTORATIVE WITH AMY PATSALIDES
The evening classes will include mindful Hatha, guided mediations and yin. Think of this practice as an opportunity to process what you realise during the week. Without space you’re not allowing for new opportunities to come into your life, and without silence you’re not listening for the answers to all those important questions! Our bodies are intrinsically linked to our emotions, but it can still be difficult to tap into them unless we sit in some stillness. By moving slowly, connecting fully to breath and just paying attention to how we feel, we can understand ourselves, and our intentions more deeply.
Day 01 . Turning Your Passion Into Purpose
We will explore what is unique about you, what gets you excited in life and how you can turn this into a career. It is possible to have a job that you love, and to work in a way that suits your lifestyle.
Day 02 . Building Your Brand
Branding is the process of creating a strong, positive identity around your business. It has many components that, when put together, create a cohesive message to help you develop an authentic relationship with your audience both on and off the mat. Like your yoga practice, a strong brand will help you shine from the inside out.
Day 03 . Creating a Tribe to Suit Your Vibe with Amy
You might not feel like a natural sales person, but there’s a way for all of us to make a success of our business in a way that feels natural for us. We’ll discuss marketing, collaborations and how to make connections with the right people for you. By growing in an authentic way, this will feel more like a social than a sales pitch.
Day 04 . Getting Social with Jake
Some yogis and yoga teachers cringe at the idea of using social media to share their yoga practice - And I can understand their thinking. Yoga isn’t about pretty pictures, impossible postures, selling leggings, or getting likes. Of course not! But we live in this world where social media cannot be ignored. I think yoga teachers have always used the tools available to them to share their practice. Before the Internet, we had videos and before that, books.
Day 05 . No workshop today
It’s important to let a lot of this new information settle, see what comes up for you, and use the time to chat to the group. Maybe you’d like to create some photography in the amazing surroundings to use in your website.
Day 06 . Building Your Website with Amy
Today we’ll start the process of building your own Squarespace website. We’ll spend one hour after breakfast summarising what we’ve covered this week, and using what we’ve learnt to make the content of our site unique. In the afternoon session we’ll start to build a simple 3 page website.
Day 07 . No workshop today
Use the day to co-work with your fellow yogis, on pure relaxation or start promoting your brand new business. We will be around to answer any questions.
